The latest regional comparison of actual data on LinkedIn members in Asia, Europe and North America as of April 1, 2012 shows the eminent differences in almost all observed categories. While Entrepreneurs are leading in Europe and North America (as well as globally in general), in Asia there are mainly Engineers listed among LinkedIn members. In this context it is not surprising that High Tech is currently the most frequently reported industrial sector in Asia, catching up North America also in absolute numbers.
In terms of absolute regional volumes, North America holds the largest number of LinkedIn members worldwide. Question also is how volumes in individual subcategories could be beneficial to LinkedIn members, recruiters and companies themselves. Whether and how they can effectively use the potential of LinkedIn. If we look at data in charts in broader context, they quite clearly draw our attention to strengths and weaknesses of each continent and its leading countries – not only from the perspective of expansion of top innovative and profitable industries.
